Thomas Owen is briefed by Wayne Isdahl from the 711th Human Performance Wing at Brooks City-Base, Texas, on capabilities of the U.S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine centrifuge, as the general sits in the centrifuge's gondola. AFRL studies human performance

Kassi Micak a competitive cyclist based in San Antonio volunteered to participate in the citrulline malate study conducted by the Air Force Research Laboratory, Brooks City-Base, TX. Here Micak rates her perceived level of exertion while Tech. Sgt. Darci Rose an Aerospace Physiology Technician responsible for recording perceived exertion, lactates, VO2 and heart rate during the study. CM has shown to increase both lactate threshold and VO2 Max in healthy humans and is being investigated, along with other nutritional supplements and training aids, by AFRL to improve cognitive and physical performance of our Battlefield Airmen. Brooks City-Base culminates Black History Month celebrations with luncheon

Praise Dancers from the Brooks African-American Heritage Committee demonstrate what is called “praise and worship dance.” This fairly new form of Praise and Worship is practiced in many Black Churches today. The dancers are all from the 68th Information Operations Squadron except as indicated. They are: Airman 1st Class Ananias Ross, Staff Sgt. Quanisha Barkley, Staff Sgt.
